Ergonomic Chair SIHOO Doro C300
I get to review a lot of cool things here at my Tech Blog. I was ecstatic when the Marketing folks at SIHOO offered to provide me an Ergonomic Chair to review. The model they provided is the SIHOO Doro C300 ($299). To sweeten the pot SIHOO currently has a “Buy One, Get Two” hidden promotion. That is an amazing deal!
Why was I so excited? The timing of receiving this chair was exquisite. After about 50 years of sitting on a wallet my back developed a visible knot in the lower area which sometimes HURTS. For about 2 years now I have been getting deep tissue massages. Lo and behold the knot has seemingly gone away just recently. I have no desire for it to return. An ergonomic chair is EXACTLY what I needed in my office.
I currently have a garden variety black leather office chair with wooden arms. It is a nice chair, certainly attractive, however it kills that spot on my back. So much so that I bought a standing desk.

The chair is very well packaged and protected. And I just have to say this. I lived in Asia (Japan) for about 16 years. As soon as I opened the box and saw the pair of white gloves in there for assembly I was hooked. That is a professional touch and I knew for a fact this was going to be an impressive chair. Small touches like that, while seemingly irrelevant are just the opposite. Those white gloves say, “We want your chair to be spotless after assembly”.
Assembly
All the tools you need are provided in the package. Also the hardware is arranged by installation step. The included hardware is segregated and outlined with a box to indicate when to use it. Also in most cases an additional piece of hardware is included.
Assembly took me about 45 minutes or so. I was also taking notes and pictures. I bet I could put chair number two together in about 15 or 20 minutes. Additionally, I had absolutely no issues putting the Doro C300 together.
Ergonomics
I have no real way to lab test ergonomics however, I did have 3 test subjects.
- Me
- My wife
- My wife’s mother
I’ve been using the chair an appreciable amount since assembling it. I’ve had no flare ups on my lower back. My wife loves the chair and will probably end up being the owner of this thing. She has a makeup table in the sunroom and commented this morning how cool that chair would be in front of her table.
My mother-in-law came over and watched a football game and sat in the chair probably 3-4 hours. She commented on how absolutely comfortable it was. Also, it was way easier for her to get in and out of it as opposed to sitting on our couch which tends to swallow you whole.
The arms are adjustable up and down and right to left. The headrest is adjustable and the lumbar portion has great mobility and support. Naturally, the chair raises and lowers as well.
What Do I Think?
This is an attractive chair. It is well made, easy to assemble, and best of all ergonomic. I worked for the US government for a lot of years and almost every office has some kind of ergonomic chair. The quality of the government chairs is not as good as the SIHOO Doro C300 though. This chair is a pleasure to sit in, even for extended periods. I wish I’d have had this chair for the 37 years and 8 months I worked for Uncle Sam.
$300 is a decent investment for one great chair but it is a steal with 2 chairs for the same price. I highly recommend getting a couple of these for your home office or work office.

Simply put this chair does what it claims and looks good doing it. I can’t stress enough how great a deal it is at “Buy One, Get Two”. Don’t miss out on this.
