Benfei Adapters

I’ve been extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to test LOTS of Benfei Adapters.

As I have stated before I mostly use a MacBookAir and it essentially only has two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.

That simply will not do for a guy like me with so many gadgets and electronics projects going on at any given time. I’m into audio. And I’m into photography. And a dozen other things. The only way to function with limited ports is to own ADAPTERS.

For example, my Mother In Law likes to stream church and watch it on her TV. Sometimes we all come over and watch with her. The only way to make that connection on her older TV is to have an HDMI adapter coming off of the computer.

I make quite a few videos with higher end cameras and microphones and by golly, I need adapters to read the CFexpress, SD and TF cards.

Digital To Analog (DAC) Adapters (click pics to enlarge)

While iPhones already have pretty decent DAC’s onboard they don’t have 3.5mm audio jacks on them. I personally wear headphones when I’m cutting the grass so I can listen to my favorite podcasts. While I have some AirPods they get sweaty and fall out all the time. And I cover them with ear protection. Very annoying to have to pull off my ear covers and fix the Pods. The green adapter ($8.99) solves this problem. I love it.

The gray DAC / Splitter ($13.99) allows you to also charge your device while using the 3.5mm audio out. And it snaps together for a great and untangled storage experience.

USB-C To Display Port Adapters (click pics to enlarge)

(Left photo) I have a couple of computer monitors and old TV’s that have display port adapters. Also have an Nvidia Video Card or two with Display Port connectors. The USB-C to Display Port adapter ($9.99 for 6′) allows me to easily connect to these devices.

(Right Photo) The Display Port to HDMI ($8.49 for 6′) also comes in very handy. It allows me to go from the Nvidia Video Card on my server to an HDMI port on a monitor or TV.

USB to CFexpress Adapter (click pic to enlarge)

CFexpress is the latest generation of memory cards. These are upgrades to the old CF cards found in many older digital cameras. CFexpress is much FASTER and is used in newer high end cameras and other devices. The USB to CFexpress Type A adapter ($15.99) is a must for photographers using a MacBook platform. You can include me in this category. I have been using WiFi previously to move my pics from my Canon R5. This is so much better.

USB-C To HDMI Adapter (click pic to enlarge)

To me, the USB-C to HDMI adapter ($8.99) is the most commonly used adapter around my house. I love to sit around and watch YouTube and trying to search and manipulate searches on a TV remote is a semi ridiculous proposition.

No problem at all though hooking my MacBookAir up to this adapter and an HDMI cable. Searches are much easier on a computer keyboard. This adapter is my favorite. Hands down.

USB-C 7 In 1 Hub (click pic to enlarge)

I saved the most capable for last. The USB-C 7 In 1 hub ($13.99). This hub solves a lot of problems quickly. It contains:

  • HDMI
  • 3 USB 3.0 ports
  • TF card slot
  • SD card slot
  • USB-C input

There is a ridiculous amount of versatility here for less the $14. This lays by my bedside and I grab it every chance I get for connecting USB-A items and TF and SD card reading. This seemingly does it all and is not very obtrusive. If I know I’m going to be doing more than one thing at a time, I grab the 7 In 1 hub. Keeps me from hot swapping adapters as well.

Wrap Up

Benfei adapters are GREAT. They are stylish, functional, and many times considerably less expensive than OEM adapters. I’m hooked on Benfei Adapters. If you use a Mac (or really any computer) you should get hooked on them as well.
