NIIMBOT Label Maker Review – M3 and B4

It looks like the folks at NIIMBOT have hit a couple more home runs with their latest offerings. I was sent the NIIMBOT Label Maker M3 and B4 along with a whole bunch of labels to review.
I have had the pleasure of reviewing many NIIMBOT label maker machines and I have to say they keep getting better and better with new, and interesting feature additions.
The pic above showcases the M3 which is a COLOR printer for shipping labels (and others). Below is the B4.

The NIIMBOT B4 is a black and white label maker for shipping labels.
I, for one, am excited that there is a bluetooth, battery powered label printer capable of 4×6″ (100 x 150 mm) shipping labels. This is going to replace a couple of label printers that I currently use.
What They Sent Me
Check out all this stuff. Tons of labels for both machines.

NIIMBOT M3 Overview
As previously mentioned the M3 is a color printer and has removable cartridges with various color selections. I did have one issue where one of the color cartridges didn’t fit and would not secure in the printer. I contacted NIIMBOT to see if I was doing something wrong or overlooking something.
- Thermal Printing
- 300 dpi resolution
- Bluetooth
- Accepts 20-78 mm labels
- Create Templates
- Quiet and Fast

As soon as I started the M3 it indicated that a firmware update was available. Took just a few minutes to complete and there were no issues with the M3 before or after the firmware loading.
It is a plus that the software checks for updates and allows you to install them easily through the app.
The M3 has several color cartridges that can be installed and printed in the color you select.

Where the M3 really shines is the app and the ability to make templates for your widgets AND PRINT THEM IN COLOR.
NIIMBOT B4
I was able to download a test label from Pirate Ship and print it using a new feature in the app for printing PDF files.

Considering the B4 is about half the size of a dedicated label printer I’d say we have the making of something great here. I’ve been waiting for something like this for ages. The NIIMBOT B4 would be ideal for the small home / small office environment.
I semi-frequently print my own shipping labels. My printer is upstairs and it is kind of annoying to run up there all the time just to retrieve the label. It’s not that I’m lazy but it sure will be nice to print my shipping label PDF downstairs. Yeah, it takes a couple more seconds to print compared to my networked label printer, but I can wait a couple of extra seconds. If I was the head shipper in the shipping department at a busy business I might gravitate towards a big dollar, fast label printer.
For everyone else there is the NIIMBOT Label Maker B4
Wrap Up
I’ve been reviewing NIIMBOT label makers for some time now. I can say with confidence that NIIMBOT is putting in the work to improve their label makers with every generation. They have evolved and expanded quite a bit since the first time I heard the name “NIIMBOT”.
I’ve been using both of these label makers for a couple of weeks now and I can say both of these are wonderful and have no qualms about recommending either one.
Even if you only want to organize the pantry the M3 is the way to go. For printing labels the B4 is your huckleberry.
