2025 Piece Of Fucking Shit Award

It’s been a while since I’ve done this. And to make it worse I have tried real hard to behave in a manner in which would make me and others around me proud. But every once in a while you need to call out a POS. So before the year ends I aim to award the coveted John’s Tech Blog Piece Of Fucking Shit Award to the biggest POS out there.
This year it goes to a company called Sidio or SidioCrate. They can’t really make up their mind what they are called.
I’d love to tell you the stackable crate I ordered was a POS however I don’t have it yet despite the fact that I ordered it on Nov 29th. They made a label on the 8th but it didn’t actually show up to a shipping point and actually move for a few days after that.
Allow me to clarify: IT TOOK THEM 10 DAYS JUST TO MAKE A SHIPPING LABEL.
Oh, and I forgot the fact that I paid $7.99 for that shipping.
Shop
First of all they use Shop. I already have declared Shop to be spyware. They literally monitor your email (if you let them). And Sidio uses them. After I placed the order I emailed them and asked for a tracking number.
Ship
They responded a few days later on Dec 3rd that by golly I was a priority to them. Their exact words were:
“The order is usually shipped within 3-5 business days, unless it includes a pre-order item. We have placed your order on priority.”
Thank Goodness I am a priority. I’d hate to think where I’d be if I weren’t. 🙄

And then it took 2-3 days for it to move after that. And today is Dec 17th and it is easily 1-2 days away still.
Uline, We Line, We All Line
After this debacle I went to Uline.com and ordered another big stack of blg old blue bins. I’ve not got the time to mess around with a vendor who can’t supply the items they sell in a timely manner. I placed an order today with Uline and I bet it ships tomorrow and then delivers the day after that. At least that has been my past experience.
I Tried
I tried to give Sidio a fair shot. They can’t deliver. And I let them know that via email. I told them I wasn’t bucking for anything. No discount, no reduction in price, Nothing. I told them I was going to relate my experience on my blog. And here I am doing just that.
Shortly after I received this email:

Well, I’m not going to answer this. I said everything I wanted to say. How stupid are they to send an angry customer a survey to fill out? Advanced stupid.
I MIGHT get the 1/4 crate I ordered tomorrow. I don’t care how great it is I simply cannot spend my money here. Shipping is completely unreliable and their email responses were “Thanks for your patience” and “How much do you love Christian”?
Not much. Not at all.
It is a love or hate relationship there. I saw many posts that confirmed that it takes about 3 weeks to get anything from them. They sure don’t tell you that up front.
Another concern is that return shipping is expensive and they know it. Unless you live in L.A. you probably won’t return ship it. And they know that too.
Saving The Best For Last
Fifty Bucks, took over three weeks to get here AND IT IS FUCKING BROKEN. Cracked lid.
