When I first took the Munbyn RW402B out of the box I connected it to the Munbyn Print app on my IOS phone. I had a 4×6 label inserted and I was trying to think of something to print which would push the limits of the printer right out of the gate. In the app you can select photos, which I did, and here are the results of that 1st printing attempt.
By golly, that’s not bad. But the real test will be if it can print a label.
Printing A Label
Let’s see what it can do with a sample shipping label. The printer needs either a Windows or Mac driver. To find the driver the printer shows up as a disk on your computer. Within that disk is a link to the driver.
It should be noted that you cannot print from a Mac via Bluetooth. Only on Windows. When using IOS or Android you must use the Munbyn Print app to connect via Bluetooth.
And here is me printing a test label via USB from my Mac.
By my estimation the quality is exceptional. Print response time is super fast and starts printing as soon as you hit the Print button.
Munbyn Print App
As soon as I opened the Munbyn Print app the RW402B connected via Bluetooth. You can see that it is connected by checking the yellow box in the upper left of the photo. From there you can create your labels.
Asthetics
The Munbyn RW402B is an attractive device and doesn’t occupy a lot of real estate on your desk. It is powered by AC so a power cord is required. The brick and cord a pretty long so it should reach your outlet easily.
Labels
Labels can be easily purchased from Amazon here. There are a variety of styles which only serve to make your home shipping business look more professional.
Should You Buy One?
I own a LOT of label printers and have reviewed a LOT of label printers. A decent one is going to cost around $100 or more. This puts the RW402B right in the price range it should be in. For the price, the size, the appearance and the quality of prints I’d say the Munbyn RW402B is a great deal for anyone looking to ship from home.
So yes, I think you are more than safe in buying one of these.
